- Thanks to those who responed to my SunOS miniroot problem
- If anyone else need that info, just e-mail me.
-
- Not onto bigger and worse things:
- I have a sparc station 2 running as a NIS server, serving 7 diskless
- clients. I just re-installed the OS and it started having this problem
- right away, when a student changes his passwd on a client the serve
- gets this message blasted across its screen:
-
- 0 0 1
- /bin/csh John B. Student MJEvdRIsp5XqU
- /bin/csh John B. Student MQDJgO/WucnZQ
- `/usr/etc/rpc.yppasswdd' is up to date.
- `/etc/passwd' is up to date.
- updated passwd
-
- Map passwd.byname at aaccsuns is not more recent than local.
-
- Map passwd.byuid at aaccsuns is not more recent than local.
- pushed passwd
-
- The Map error comes up just like it was "croned" to.
- Any ideas?
- Thanks,
- Mike
