  11. We're running amd5.3beta (alpha #1) to look after the nfs mount
  12. requirements on our network of sun4s. However, sometimes we have machines
  13. hanging up, seemingly waiting for amd. The syslog message:

  15. Oct 22 11:03:13 crash vmunix: NFS server amd:140 not responding still trying
  16. Oct 22 11:03:33 crash vmunix: NFS server amd:140 ok

  18. is all too frequent. Machines normally hang for a minute or two with the
  19. load average building up to 6 or so. However, I have occasionally
  20. seen machines hang and build up a load average of about 22, at which
  21. time only a reboot would recover.

  23. Has anyone else had similar problems with amd? Should I be running a
  24. different (more stable? better? version). Here is the complete version
  25. info in case it helps
