  15. my "solution" was to put an Ethernet shunt (y'now, those little boxes
  16. with one green LED on the back which you can plug in instead of an
  17. ethernet transceiver cable) on the back, name the domain loopback,
  18. ifconfig the le0 interface to the loopback address, and RUN NIS on
  19. that...

  21. It's a horrible hack, and I would like to replace it with something
  22. else, but it works.

  24. I was 3/4th on my way to install a resolv only libc when I discovered
  25. that SunView does use rpc sometimes, so I did it this way, as I had to
  26. configure in that device anyway.
