- Occasionally, we see the following message on some of our systems:

- vmunix: NFS getattr failed for server XXXX: RPC: Can't decode result

- What does this mean ? server XXXX is a fileserver, and this message
- appears on machines which mount it's /export/home partition. Both machines
- involved are running SunOS 4.1.2.

- On a possibly related note: Would turning on UDP checksums help ?
- If so, once they are turned on, are errors logged to the console ?
