- The README file for the Sun patch that fixes the bug limiting disk formatting
- size to under 1 GB indicates that, for a Sun 4, all that needs to be replaced
- is the /etc/format.dat file -- no rebuilding of the kernel is necesary:

- Our system is a Sun 4/330 running "SunOS Release 4.1_PSR_A". I would prefer to
- just fix this bug rather than upgrading to 4.2. Could someone verify that
- simply replacing the /etc/format.dat file on this kind of system allows you to
- correctly format and use larger disks?
-
- Thanks!
