- More to the point. It would be a good idea to keep your root password
- written down and be very careful when you change it. Better idea would be
- to log in on the console, secure the console so that L1-A is not secure.
- Install your major software mods or strange evil packages likely to crash
- the machine horribly. Once your happy it works and isn't going to die
- horribly, unsecure the console again. If the console is not secure, you
- need a password to get into single user mode. If you don't have the
- password it is messy at best.
