- I fixed an IPX with this problem less than an hour ago. After a little peeking
- about, it turned out it was a pre-installed 4.1.3 system, and the only
- /etc/hostname file was called /etc/hostname.xx0. This caused ifconfig on le0 to
- be RUNNING, but with no address (!). A simple mv to .le0 and reboot cured it. It
- worked fine with an empty /etc/hosts (except log and localhost on 127.0.0.1, of
- course).
