  16. The answer, unfortunately, is no.

  18. UDP packets sent by user programs from an RS6000 have checksums, but
  19. packets from the NFS server do not.

  21. There has been a discussion of this topic in comp.protocols.nfs and
  22. comp.unix.aix in the last couple of days.  According to
  23. bguest@ateam.ems.cdc.com (Brandon Guest), there is no standard way to
  24. turn on NFS/UDP checksums in AIX, but if you harass IBM tech support,
  25. they will send you a patch to do it.  He also suggested that everyone
  26. interested in this open a PMR (whatever that is) with IBM, requesting
  27. that this be fixed.
