- Logical volumes don't seem to work under 4.05F on a R4K indigo.
- Here's what I did to create logical volume.
-
- 1. created the file /etc/lvtab with the following entry
- lv0:First Logical Volume:devs=/dev/dsk/dks0d1s6,/dev/dsk/dks0d2s7
-
- 2. ran mklv to create the logical volume ie. mklv -f lv0
-
- 3. grew the file system into the logical volume, ie. growfs /dev/rdsk/lv0
-
- 4. changed the entry for /usr in /etc/fstab, ie.
- /dev/dsk/lv0 /usr efs raw=/dev/rdsk/lv0 0 0
-
- 5. ran fsck ie. fsck /dev/dsk/lv0
-
- Up to here every thing was fine. When I tried to reboot the system I got the
- following error message:
-
- Relocation error: relocation of a JUMPADDR overflows
- Unable to load boot file: Invalid argument
- Autoboot failed
- Unable to continue, press <enter> to return to main menu.
-
- Does anyone know what's going on? Dave Olson - help!!!!!
