  12. I have developed at set of setup models in "ansi" Pascal.
  13. I have a VAX ELN shell to execute the model "real-time"
  14. on a Ivax network and a VAX VMS shell to execute the model
  15. "offline" for testing/modeling.

  17. The problem is that our primary modeler developed the same
  18. model in C on an SG.  He now wants to convert the ONLINE
  19. to C.  I suggested the better route (which is what I 
  20. originally designed it for) would be to write a SG Pascal
  21. shell to run on SG.

  23. He feels that the Pascal compiler for SG may not be as good
  24. as C.  
  25.  
  26. My question is; How good is the SG Pascal compiler?
