- We are planning to upgrade our Indigos from R3000 to R4000 XS-24. On our
- network, we also have a 4D-210, a 4D-310, two 4D-35s, and a 4D-25S server.
- We depend heavily on NFS, and we would like to keep all our machines more
- or less binary compatible. What impact would there be if we only upgraded
- the Indigos, or should we also upgrade to an R4000 fileserver for better
- NFS performance? How does the 32-bit/64-bit R4000 architecture affect
- NFS? Will we have NFS, network, or compatibility problems if we don't
- also upgrade our other 4D systems?
-
- Thanks for any advice..
