- As a purely anecdotal counter-point, we've found that turning rtnetd off on
- our MP machines significantly speeds up TCP/IP processing. We've seen 10% or
- better througput increases on large TCP/IP data tansfers, such as nightly
- backups.

- I haven't done any tests to see if we're trading improved bulk performance
- for reduced interactive performance.
