- Shutdown and reboot don't work.

- Executing shutdown works only to the point, where
- /etc/init 0 is called. this should start /etc/rc0, which
- completes the shutdown, basically per killall.
- Executing /etc/rc0 "by hand" works, but /etc/init 0
- simply seems to do nothing. No hints in system log files.
- exit status of /etc/init 0 is 0.

- Even after reinstalling IRIX, the effect remained. Of course,
- /etc/reboot won't do either. We talked to our SGI man,
- said he never heard of such a thing before.

- Any ideasm ? We will reformat the disk and reinstall, if
- nothing else works.
