  16. Shutdown and reboot don't work.

  18. Executing shutdown works only to the point, where 
  19. /etc/init 0 is called. this should start /etc/rc0, which
  20. completes the shutdown, basically per killall.
  21. Executing /etc/rc0 "by hand" works, but /etc/init 0
  22. simply seems to do nothing. No hints in system log files.
  23. exit status of /etc/init 0 is 0.

  25. Even after reinstalling IRIX, the effect remained. Of course,
  26. /etc/reboot won't do either. We talked to our SGI man, 
  27. said he never heard of such a thing before.

  29. Any ideasm ? We will reformat the disk and reinstall, if 
  30. nothing else works.
