  22. Yes.  At various times, ftp, telnet, rcp, rsh and others will say things 
  23. like this.

  25. The best book for little gems like "peer died", "connection reset by peer",
  26. et al is the classic "Computer Networks" by Andrew Tanenbaum.  The book is 
  27. old, but the meaning of these phrases has not changed.  There is too much 
  28. to do any summary, so I will not try.
