  15. I have yet to hear anyone not have troubles with it.

  32. We have had a similiar problem.  We haven't had too many
  33. "accidental kills", but it seems that the first time anyone
  34. tries to issue CVD in a particuliar day, CVD is unable to contact
  35. the license server.  So, I simply go in as root and issue a:
  36.  
  37.         /etc/init.d/netls start
  38.  
  39. It always replys that the license server is already running,
  40. but a re-issue of CVD starts up just fine!

  42. For those of you who have yet to find out the hard way, there
  43. is a bug in CaseVision/Workshop 1.1 (CW1.1) which will not
  44. allow you to run with both NETLS licensed S/W and NodeLocked
  45. licensed software.  Evidently, the licensing hooks in CW1.1, 
  46. upon startup, go out to check on how the license is to be passed
  47. out and upon seeing a file called nodelock, shuts down.
  48. I should add that this is only for NETLS licensed CW1.1.
  49. Thus, to fix, there is version CaseVision/Workshop 1.1.1 which
  50. can be obtained from the hot-line upon request.  I have installed
  51. this, and this particular problem went away.

  53. Getting a permanent licence from SGI's licensing dept. is
  54. another long story...
