  13. Dear People,

  15. I have been getting the following error messages several times a minute for
  16. the last couple of days:

  18. telnetd[2280]: ttloop:  peer died
  19.  
  20. Has anyone seen this error before?  What is causing it and how do I "fix"
  21. it?  I have gone through the man page for telnetd but there is no explanation
  22. of this error message.  This machine has been crashing about every other day
  23. and these are the only error messages that are unusual in the SYSLOG.

  25. The machine I have been getting these messages on is an 4D/320 running Irix
  26. 4.0.1, has 128 MB of memory, two SCSI controllers, four ethernet connections,
  27. and about 2.5 GB of disk space on three drives.

  29. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
