  13. I have a usual novell setup with a pair of servers running Novell 3.11
  14. talking 10baseT to a pair of 48port hubs.
  15.  
  16. I have a couple of users who want to run IP over the network to talk
  17. with a couple of (until now) stand-alone QNX hosts.

  19. I have never setup an IP network before... Let me tell you what I do
  20. understand by watching this group.

  22. 1. Bind IP to the novell drivers and allow forwarding to get everyone on.
  23.    (at the server level)

  25. 2. Get ODI drivers from IPX and the LSL, etc stack running.

  27. How does the numbering system work in IP. Are there references on this?
  28. What do I need for packet drivers?  Are there standard ones for Intel
  29. Etherexpress 16s or does ODI make that independant of the actual cards?
  30. My HP Hubs might need tweeking to work with IP too as I recall.

  32. The topology is like this:

  34. Server1 <---- Thinnet --> Server2 <-- Thinnet --> HP Ethertwist Hub+ <-10BaseT
  35. Server1 <---- Thinnet --> Server2 <-- Thinnet --> Ditto <-- 10BaseT --> users

  37. Note:  Dual Thinnet so each Hub is an independant network with each
  38.        hub talking directly to each server.
