  14. As previously announced in one of the NeXT Usenet newsgroups, we 
  15. are accepting orders for the Addison-Wesley NeXT documentation set 
  16. at a Usenet group purchase discount price.  We already have enough
  17. orders in hand to be absolutely sure that the deal is going through,
  18. and we will be ordering the first batch from Addison-Wesley on
  19. Friday.  Follow-up orders are allowed, so don't be concerned if
  20. you don't read this right away; you'll just get the books later.

  22. There are eight manuals.  Five are available now.  The other three 
  23. should become available about the end of November.  Because most
  24. people are eager to get the documents, we will ship the sets in two
  25. parts.  The extra shipping expense (which we are paying, not you,
  26. for U.S. orders) keeps us from providing more than a 15% discount.

  28. All of the books are being issued by Addison-Wesley at prices 
  29. different from those earlier posted to the net, and most, 
  30. unfortunately, are higher.  The prices shown below are the 
  31. publisher's correct prices, as of yesterday; it is on these that 
  32. the discount will be based.  Because of the overall increase in 
  33. prices, our initial estimate of $204 for the set is not valid.  The 
  34. total at list price is $263.60 (with shipping extra) and the total 
  35. group purchase price is $224.06, with shipping included free to U.S. 
  36. destinations.

  38. Purchasers in the State of Washington must add $18.37 sales tax, 
  39. for a total of $242.43.

  70. will be responsible for any taxes at your end.  We have no
