Thanks for the tip, but does anyone know what causes this?  Everytime I eject a
floppy (by dragging it to the Recycler) it causes the mode of /etc/mtab to
change?  And is there any danger in making /bin/df setuid root (this seems to
be the only permanent solution if the reason for the mode change in /etc/mtab
is unknown)?
