- What I need to do is either configure telnet or set up the terminal so
- that the high bit is stripped or the entire communications runs as 7-e
- communications. Can anyone provide an explanation as to how I can manage
- this? the application we need to telnet to successfully is one of crucial
- importance to our organization--thus, any help is really appreciated.

- BTW, I searched many manual entries, such as stty and telnet but could not
- find the exact element I needed. I also searched termcap with no luck
- either, so i have least tried and tired.

- Well you would need to do an stty on the otherside to handle sending
- or receiving 7bits rather than 8bits. On some hosts the option for 7
- bits is -pass8, with the pass8 being the option for 8 bits. Did you
- try the man entry for stty on the remote host or on the Next?
