  13. I have started using NewsGrazer lately.  It's lovely to use, except that  
  14. it's so darned slow.  I can understand that things like fetching articles
  15. from the nntp server would be slow.  However, just hitting a menu option  
  16. to get a submenu takes 5 to 10 seconds.  Editing this post is agony  
  17. because it is so slow to update the window.  It cannot keep up with my  
  18. typing and loses a lot of what I input.

  20. So, how can this be?  All these basic operations are in the Appkit - how  
  21. did Adams contrive to make them so slow?  Or is it just me - is there  
  22. something I need to tweak in order to make the interactive performance  
  23. adequate?

  25. I'm using version 2.0 release 72.2 on a 25MHz 68040 with 2.1.  I have 20Mb  
  26. memory and a 400Mb hard drive.  I don't have any similar problems with  
  27. other apps.
