- I have started using NewsGrazer lately. It's lovely to use, except that
- it's so darned slow. I can understand that things like fetching articles
- from the nntp server would be slow. However, just hitting a menu option
- to get a submenu takes 5 to 10 seconds. Editing this post is agony
- because it is so slow to update the window. It cannot keep up with my
- typing and loses a lot of what I input.
-
- So, how can this be? All these basic operations are in the Appkit - how
- did Adams contrive to make them so slow? Or is it just me - is there
- something I need to tweak in order to make the interactive performance
- adequate?
-
- I'm using version 2.0 release 72.2 on a 25MHz 68040 with 2.1. I have 20Mb
- memory and a 400Mb hard drive. I don't have any similar problems with
- other apps.
