  13. Now that "gdb" has been integrated into Edit, wouldn't it be real nifty to have

  15. "diff" integrated as well?  Sometimes you have to go thru diffs by hand, and Edit doesn't make it fun.  More naive, GUI-bound users don't yet have any intelligent way to compare documents.

  17. The "Differences Panel" would work kind of like the Find Panel, except that it 
  18. would highlight the subsequent differing chunks in each of  
  19. two windows (the 
  20. main document window and the one for another document selected in the 
  21. Differences Panel).  This Panel could have an API like all the others, and 
  22. become a standard part of NeXTSTEP.
