- Hello World!
-
- I've been trying to print the image of a rib file from the
- 3D demo application included in 3.0. This is a standalone
- NeXTstation Color. It tells me it can't connect to localhost.
- My machine has a hostname of sapphire.
-
- So... I look in the netinfo database and sapphire doesn't
- appear but localhost and broadcasthost are there (as expected).
- So, I experimented by changing the local render entry to look
- for sapphire instead of localhost. Still no good.
-
- When I upgraded to 3.0, I booted from the 3.0 CD and had it do
- a complete upgrade rather than use the update application. I've looked
- at the online application notes, but if you have a standalone machine
- there is no entry in the netinfo database that corresponds to the
- hostname as it states. It would appear to me that you need to create
- a network to get this to work, but that can't be right.
-
- Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
-
- Thanks in advance,
