- There are two of us here who work on one code directory, and in order for
- both of us to be able to read/write the files in this directory, I created
- a group called 'seqprog', and we both had umasks set to group read/write.
-
- Under 2.x it worked. Now it doesn't. It seems that Edit and IB ignore
- both the umask in the defaults database and in .cshrc.
-
- Related, but worse yet, project builder won't let anyone but the owner
- recompile the app-wrapper package, even if group read/write are set. It
- complains about permission being denied for copying over the .nib
- directories in the app wrapper, for which I have made that all the files
- involved have group and user read/write (I even tried this with world
- read/writeable, recursively, on the entire directory, and still the same
- problem). The ONLY way one of us can recompile after the other one has is
- to change the ownership of all files in the app wrapper to be owned by the
- person attempting to compile.
-
- Anyone had the same experience or have any hints?
-
- thanks,
