  14. i downloaded tar-1.11.1.Z from MIT and tried to compile it.

  16. i need to use the "tar rvf" option which is missing from the
  17. next tar.

  19. can someone tell me if tar-1.11.1.Z is gnutar and what kind of
  20. gynastics i have to go through to compile it?

  22. i've noticed on 3.0 the c include files are in /usr/include/ansi but
  23. can't seem to get the configure program or the make program to realize
