  11. I posted the following request in comp.lang.objective-c and got no  
  12. responce. Either no one reads comp.lang.objective-c or no one is using
  13. Objective C for numerical work. I find the latter hard to believe.
  14. There was an interesting posting in comp.lang.c++ recently entitled

  23. DO SCIENTIFIC OBJECTS EXIST ?
  24. I am considering doing some numerical programming in objective C and I  
  25. would be interested to find out to what extent libraries of scientific  
  26. (i.e. non GUI) objects are already available. After all that is the idea  
  27. behind reusable software components. I am particularly interested in  
  28. implementations of matrices and vectors with corresponding method  
  29. functions for accessing elements, changing elements, adding, subtracting,  
  30. inverting etc. I am interested in both stand alone implementations or  
  31. implementations that may use Stepstone's Foundation package or NeXTs  
  32. objective C as a starting point (I will be working with a NeXT).

  34. INFORMATION ABOUT SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMMING WITH Objective C ?
  35. I would also be interested in any references, texts or articles, that deal  
  36. with the problems associated with scientific programming, i.e interfacing  
  37. with Numerical Recipes in C or other numerical libraries.
