  12. I'm kind of puzzled about MathWorks's decision only to develop an X
  13. version of MATLAB for the NeXT.  MATLAB Version 4 only produces PostScript 
  14. hardcopy (no meta or gpp anymore), so I suspect that their underlying 
  15. graphics commands are very PostScript-like in nature.  I suppose the 
  16. problem is that they've also added some GUI stuff and that would be much 
  17. more difficult to port.  Personally, I would gladly give up the GUI stuff 
  18. for a NeXTStep version of MATLAB that just displays the graphics.
  19. (The GUI stuff is nice, but I suspect that the overwhelming majority
  20. of MATLAB user's have never used anything other than terminal
  21. interface.)
