- I'm kind of puzzled about MathWorks's decision only to develop an X
- version of MATLAB for the NeXT. MATLAB Version 4 only produces PostScript
- hardcopy (no meta or gpp anymore), so I suspect that their underlying
- graphics commands are very PostScript-like in nature. I suppose the
- problem is that they've also added some GUI stuff and that would be much
- more difficult to port. Personally, I would gladly give up the GUI stuff
- for a NeXTStep version of MATLAB that just displays the graphics.
- (The GUI stuff is nice, but I suspect that the overwhelming majority
- of MATLAB user's have never used anything other than terminal
- interface.)
