- After I shipped off my post bitching about the dearth of numerical
- analysis software for the NeXT, I came across this posting in
- comp.sys.next.software which gives me hope for the NeXT and adds credence
- to my contention that X-based software which executes on the NeXT is a
- bogus approach.
-
- I just spoke with the folks who produce this package and they
- told me that they have just decided to do a dedicated NeXTSTEP
- port, not just an X11 implementation, thanks to the
- overwhelming response they've gotten from NeXT users!
-
- [collective back patting]
-
- The salesman I spoke with was very curious about NeXT machines
- and said that there is one salesman there who already has a NeXT
- and loves it to pieces.
-
- This could be a Very Good Thing.

-
- I rest my case!
