  56. YES NeXTSTEP 486 will run DOS/Windows 3.1 apps.  Yes this is from NeXT not  
  57. Insignia.  No they will not be rootless initally and by the end of 93 NS  
  58. 486 will run Win32/NT apps.  The question they haven't answered is whether  
  59. or not it will be standard or an option.  I for one don't care if it is an  
  60. option or not.

  62. This information comes from Bob Lawton's demo of NS486 at the Sep. BaNG  
  63. meeting and an info sheet put out by NeXT.  If I have mis-remembered  
  64. anything please feel free to correct me.

  66. P.S.  I dream that if I have to program in DOS/Windows that I will do it  
  67. w/ Borland's C++ under NeXTSTEP.  The irony is too much to resist.
