  18. Thanks for the great information, but I'm still having a problem with
  19. the "rendering host". I have a standalone NeXTstation color with
  20. the hostname set as sapphire via hostmanager.app.

  22. I can't get anything to render unless the hostname is localhost.
  23. Even if I modify netinfo so that there is a renderer with a name
  24. of sapphire. The only thing I haven't tried is setting the IP address
  25. in hostmanager.app to 127.0.0.1, which would be the same as localhost
  26. since I'm not connected to any net.

  28. I addition when I use the 3D app in the demos directory (still working
  29. on getting 3D_Reality transferred!) and try to print, it only prints
  30. the black background and not the image (such as the airplane.rib
  31. file in the examples directory).
