  18. The following I remember from a recent article in c't (german magazine).
  19. Both, the 500C and the 550C use a three-color and a black cartouche. The  
  20. 500C however carries only one at a time, so it asks you to exchange it,  
  21. when necessary. This is not only a little inconvenient, but also means,  
  22. that it can't use black ink inside a color picture, what the 550C does,  
  23. thereby enhancing output quality.

  27. I have seen a 500C running with a NeXT using Dots color, which seemed to  
  28. work fine. Of course, it was not too fast. I am considering buying a 550C  
  29. myself.
