- Yeah.. It sure would be nice if we could all *AFFORD* the consumables costs
- on this technology. I understand that the Tektronix offering has the
- lowest consumables cost (about $1.50 per page), but that's still a little
- more then what the local Kinko's stores charge for Canon Color copies
- ($1.25), and it's still expensive! You also forgot to mention that not only
- does the ink bleed into the paper, but the ink bleeds into SPECIAL paper
- (that I'm not very fond of).
- So far, the best low(er)-cost color PostScript printer I've seen is the
- IBM/Lexmark offering. If you can get a dealer to give you a sample, I think
- you'll be very pleased, especially when he tells you the price! The output
- IS comparable to dye-sublimation printers at a fraction of the cost.
