  38. I just received confirmation from my NeXT dealer that the 
  39. NeXT CD-ROM player WILL play Photo-CD ROMs, however it plays
  40. _only_ single session ones, not multi session.  The difference?

  42. The first time you have photos put on the disk = single session.
  43. Subsequent addition of photographs = multi session.
  44.  
  45. The fix?  Save your negs until you have enough to fill a CD.
  46. Since only 100 pictures (approx) fit on a CD that shouldn't
  47. take too long.  (Well, I'm a hobby foto nut - your mileage
  48. may vary).  For you medium format freaks (me too!) there should
  49. be duplicators which will take negs and chromes up to 5"x7"
  50. and put them on CD, although I doubt you will get 100 on a disk.
  51. These are expected to be ready in the spring/summer of next year.

  53. I have talked to Apple, bu haven't verified if their drive will
  54. work.  As soon as I get my cube up again I'll see if I cant
  55. borrow a drive to test...!

  57. Regarding software - I just received in the mail a PhotoCD reader
  58. App, but until my machine is up (about a week, I hope) I won't
  59. be able to test it.  Sorry :-(
