  12. I've got a 1GB-disk from DEC (model DSP3085).

  14. There were no problems to get it running. But after two weeks or so I got
  15. the msg

  17. sc: parity error 
  18.  
  19. at boot time (at the very begining).
  20.  
  21. The system is not able to access the disk nor to boot from the 
  22. internal disk as long the external drive is connected. 
  23. I've checked the drive on another host. But also there, same problem.

  25. Current configuration:

  27. NeXTcolorstation running NeXTStep 2.1 
  28. SCSI ID 0 external disk 1GB (DEC)
  29.         1 internal disk 400 MB
  30.         7 CPU

  32. Switching the external disk to ID 2 and reboot doesn't help.
  33. What could cause this error msg ?
