- I have a NeXTstation with 8meg of memory, 200meg internal drive and
- 230meg external drive. After running a bunch of sound and score
- applications I noticed that playing a score file would, after a while
- quit with no messages at all. At that moment I noticed that my internal
- drive was full. I went to check the size of the swapfile ant it was
- more than 80meg! I then rebooted (big mistake?) hoping that the swap
- file would go back to 16meg?, but it never passed the checking network...
- message during reboot.
- Questions:
- How can I get it to reboot?
- I think I should be able to boot from floppy and try to mount the
- disk to do some cleaning.
- Can I remove the /private/vm/swapfile? and then reboot?
- Why is the swapfile so big. How can I prevent this from happening?
-
- I am a new Next user, so please excuse my ignorance. I'd really
- appreciate any input.
-
- Thanks,
-
