- Most real-world *users* who have used NeXTs and Suns will tell you
- that the NeXT has a far superior user interface. You are right,
- users don't care that apps are 10 times faster to build with IB.
- They do care that:
- - IB helps programmers to create applications that are CONSISTENT.
- - The NeXTSTEP interface is vastly more intuitive to users (esp.
- people who are not used to managing .twmrc files and such) than
- OpenLook.
-
- I still say - show the average end-user (in business, or education,
- or wherever) a typical NeXTSTEP app and a typical Solaris app and
- you will see that the response indicates that people like NeXTs
- better. Until NeXTSTEP is ported to Sun equipment (God forbid),
- NeXT machines will have a clear advantage, at least to me.

- What is power if users aren't productive?
