  18. Most real-world *users* who have used NeXTs and Suns will tell you
  19. that the NeXT has a far superior user interface.  You are right,
  20. users don't care that apps are 10 times faster to build with IB.
  21. They do care that:
  22. - IB helps programmers to create applications that are CONSISTENT.
  23. - The NeXTSTEP interface is vastly more intuitive to users (esp.
  24. people who are not used to managing .twmrc files and such) than
  25. OpenLook.

  27. I still say - show the average end-user (in business, or education,
  28. or wherever) a typical NeXTSTEP app and a typical Solaris app and
  29. you will see that the response indicates that people like NeXTs
  30. better.  Until NeXTSTEP is ported to Sun equipment (God forbid),
  31. NeXT machines will have a clear advantage, at least to me.
