- It does not need to be a symptom of _early_ problems, but it can be a
- symptom of problems.
- I had a Fujitsu M2624 drive (520M). When it got hot, it failed to
- recalibrate correctly. After too much errors, the kernel unmounted the
- drive to not cause data loss due to writes on a wrong track. This has
- not been a good idea, as it was the root partition and so the kernel
- panicked.
