  20. This is a good point.  There is an option for using plain paper.  From my
  21. observations it squirts less ink.  If you don't use this option all the inks
  22. run together and instead of producing dithered colors you end up with brown.

  24. Within the limits of the technology (this isn't a top of the line 4 color
  25. litho press after all) the quality seems to be good with the proviso that
  26. some combinations of color print better.  Large areas of deep color are a
  27. problem, again because the paper can't cope with so much ink.

  29. The output doesn't bear close examination either, as you remarked, grey isn't
  30. but is a mixure of colors and close up looks red.... you can check this by
  31. printing b/w images.

  33. I certainly rate it higher than the HP color deskjets.
