  14. i'm using a 2030/4.52 with a modem with only a few caveats:

  16. Speed must not be higher than 9600 baud (in fact, sometimes you
  17. can get trouble at 9600, too).
  18. I think the most sincere problem for using a modem (at least when
  19. allowing remote access to the machine) is the missing DCD support.

  21. When using zmodem on the remote host, i use the following options:
  22. -e -l 1024 -w 8192 (i didn't experiment too much with theses values,
  23. i now get satisfactory results).
  24. A greater problem is uucp, i get lot of alarms. But as i use uucp
  25. very seldom, i didn't try to look for the cause (maybe the modem
  26. still is set to software flow control, it was once).
