  12. In an effort to enhance the communication paths we use to inform you of
  13. relevant product information, Mentor Graphics will begin posting to the
  14. comp.sys.mentor news group. This notice contains newly discovered and/or
  15. previously undocumented information about Mentor Graphics products.  In order
  16. to provide our customers with the most current product information, Mentor

  21. We have discovered an error message which does not have an explanation
  22. documented in the manuals or help files.  To ensure that you do NOT try to
  23. correct this error without the proper procedure, we are sending this
  24. notification.

  26. The error message from Version 8.1 Design Architect appears as
  27. follows:

  29.      Error: Cannot lock sheet for edit at path
  30. "/user/mgc/original/schematic/sheet1"
  31.  
  32. This lock sheet error can happen for a variety of reasons, including:
  33. concurrent users of the same design, broken references, etc.  If you see this
  34. error, we suggest you call the Mentor Graphics SupportCenter (1-800-547-4303),
  35. use the /pub/mgc_info/mentortech/DA_Open_Symbol on the SupportNet on-line 
  36. Internet at address isl (137.202.128.4), or refer to SupportBulletin #119, 
  37. due at your site on November 20th.
