- This is a call for membership/participation in the newly formed library
- SIG. Elections were held during MUG 92 yielding the following officers
- and team leaders. We are looking for two additional team leaders in the
- ASIC and Analog areas. Team leaders primarily function as a focal point for
- the specific discipline.

- to address library issues.
-
- Communicate individual experiences.
-
- Provide inputs for the V8.3 LMS.
-
- Pressure IC manufacturers on providing models.
-
- Review Mentor ADR specification.
-
- Share productivity enhancements across users.
-
- Encourage library standards.
-
-
-
-
- An initial attempt was made to identify those library issues pertinent
- to the SIG. It is by no means all inclusive, if you have additional
- inputs please forward.
-
- Library Issues
- --------------
- LMS Technology Independent Symbols
- Configuration Control ASICS/FPGAS
- Simulation, Board Models Analog Libraries
- Library Updates 3rd Party Libraries
- Creating Components Electronic Data Books

-
- If you have any interest in receiving minutes/updates or would like to
- participate, please email any of the above officers asap. We are
- currently committed to immediate response of an electronic database
- questionaire and review of Mentor's Advanced Data Representation (ADR)
- proposal.
-
- The library SIG members as well as Mentor view this SIG as a potentially
- powerful force not only with respect to the Mentor tool set but also the
- entire EDA family, from manufacturers to vendors to suppliers.
-
- We urge you to please give serious consideration to this call.
