- Help... my apps are disappearing.
-
- This isn't another disappearing folder question... this is stranger. Every
- so often, an application will die. The app is still on disk, with an icon
- and everything, but the program's suggested size in the Get Info box changes
- to "n/a," the current size changes to 0, and it can't be opened (Finder
- reports an error of type -39).
-
- The current size can't be changed after this happens. The app has to be
- retrieved from some other media.
-
- This seems to have happened more since I started to use File Sharing. It
- did happen once before I was using file sharing, though.
-
- Has anyone seen this before? (Is this a FAQ?) I'm using System 7 with
- the Tune-Up. The only non-Apple extensions are ATM 2.0.3 and the DMM
- LaserWriter utilities. Oh, and the network drivers came from Cayman Systems,
- the manufacturers of the Ethernet card we have. (The card was not
- compatible with System 7.)
-
- Please reply via e-mail to mikeho@seeker.mystic.com. I can't keep up
- with the volume in the c.s.mac groups. Thanks!
