- Just so everyone knows, it appears that Apple rushed their LaserWriter IIf/g
- upgrade disks a little TOO quickly...
- Included on the installer disk is two .PPD files (used for Aldus products).
- THESE FILES ARE MISLABELED!!!!
- The file that is labelled "LaserWriter IIf.PPD" is *actually* the
- LaserWriter IIg.PPD file and vice-versa.
-
- IF YOU REQUIRE THESE FILES, copy the "wrong" one over and rename it to the
- other file's name...
-
- I work at a graphic design lab and it was sheer chaos in the lab the morning
- after I upgraded all 30 machines...PageMaker kept telling me that I was
- attempting to print to a "iif" printer, when I installed the "IIg" drivers.
- (of course, the option-print method worked OK)
-
- Just letting everyone know...it's not confirmed...I'm not speaking for
- Apple...just warning anyone listening.
-
-
- p.s. open the .PPD files in TeachText and see for yourself! oops!
