- My guess is that you have got a bigger server disk mounted with a large number
- of files and that you have set the finder to display the sizes of folders in
- list view mode. Is that right?

- I have seen similar symptoms in that situation. It happens when the finder is
- updating the size information. For some reason Apple gave that an extrem high
- priority by being very sparse with returning control again to the foreground
- application. Clicking the mouse on the top window typically helps. Switching
- off the the size-information too.
