- Does anyone have a Greek typewriter or terminal? If you do, I can
- surely use some of your common knowlege.
-
- I am constructing a new font for math and would like to assign the
- greek letters to the option keys in the same manner that they are assigned
- in Greece. Formerly, I wrote down the proper key combinations
- but am unable to locate the document. Please do not send me a list
- of how Symbol assigns the keys as it is assuredly INCORRECT. I have 20
- Greek fonts on my machine and am not able to establish a consensus
- for a handful of combinations. I suspect that either the font authors
- made up the combinations independently of Greek standards, or there
- are several types of Greek keyboards. My conclusions, and guesses follow.
- You can use this as a template to send a reply to me to save yourself time.

- alpha = a, beta = b, gamma = g, delta = d, epsilon = e, zeta = z, eta = h,
- theta = y or q or j, no guess proffered
- iota = i, kappa = k, lambda = l, mu = m, nu = n,
- xi = x or c or j, best guess = x
- omicron = o, pi = p, rho = r, sigma = s, tau = t, upsilon = u, phi = f,
- chi = q or x or c, best guess = c
- psi = c or q or y, best guess = y
- omega = w,
-
- I still also have no idea where to place the secondary forms of lowercase
- delta, theta, sigma, and phi.
-
- Please respond via email so I can summarize results and post for everyone
- when I make all the final tallies. Thank you for your assistance.
