- Every once in a while, when you restart, the Finder will forget some
- information about one or more windows. Sometimes they're open windows,
- sometimes not. It remembers icon placements, but not the View-By,
- window size, or window location. I've never noticed any pattern to it.
-
- I don't know the explanation for this, but I've seen it too. I've ONLY seen
- it happen on a IIfx running 7.0. It's not every once in a while, either -
- it happened very frequently. We'd use the Views control panel to set the
- display font to something non-standard (Tekton, usually, but others worked
- too) and maybe set some other options (medium icon size, etc). The changes
- would hold for a short while, and then revert back to Geneva after maybe
- 10 or 15 seconds.
-
- We have a number of machines in the office where this happened, and only
- the IIfx exhibited this weirdness. Does it happen on other machines as well?
