  10. A friend just found a great deal on a Quantum 80 meg hardrive...
  11. if I can make it work.  It's a 3.5" with an Apple sticker.  I
  12. tried the SC HD Setup that came with System 7 and no luck!

  14. I get a message that it "can't read the necessary info from the
  15. drive" and can't get any further.  Ideas?  The other thing which
  16. may have some bearing on this is that there is a short length of
  17. flat cable coming off the drive, ending in a keyed connector with
  18. four holes. There is nothing like this coming off my current 40 
  19. meg drive.  This cable is in addition to the connectors for the
  20. power and SCSI.

  22. The drive spins up, but nothing else happens....
