- I have what appears to be a strange problem. The lab that I work in has 4
- different Macs - a Quadra 900, IIfx, and 2 IIsi's, each with its own
- personalized name and corresponding icon. Additionally, they're networked
- to
- the local AppleTalk network, and the Quadra and IIfx have their own IP
- addresses (for Telnet/FTP purposes). Recently, my advisor switched
- secretaries,
- and the new one would like to change the hard disk icon.
-
- Here's the problem: When I try to change the icon on the hard disk (copy
- the icon, go to the Get Info box, and paste the icon in), the only option I
- have is
- to copy (not cut, paste, etc.). Am I doing something wrong? Have any of
- you
- had this problem?
-
- The IIsi is running Liaison and has its file sharing capacity turned on. I
-
- tried this with the Quadra and ran into the same problems. I turned the
- file sharing off and tried to paste a new icon in, and could still only
- choose
- copy.
-
- Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
