  11. I've been hunting on the sumex and umich archives for PICT or EPS world maps. 
  12. Just an outline of the continents would be fine; I don't really need all or
  13. most of the countries' borders drawn in.

  15. From the umich archive, I downloaded the files
  16.   1. mac/graphics/draw/worldmap.pit.hqx
  17.   2. mac/graphics/eps/maps.cpt.hqx

  19. I believe the 'pit' extension means PackIt, but I haven't been able to unpack
  20. file #1.  From sumex, I downloaded packit3-13.hqx, but it promptly bombs when I
  21. try to run it.  Perhaps it's not System-7 compatible. The versions of PackIt on
  22. umich are a couple of years old, and they bomb, too. So what else can I try?

  24. As for the files in #2, they decompress as EPS files, but they simply appear as
  25. an X in a box when I import them into Persuasion 2.0.  They do print OK, but I
  26. need to see them on the screen in order to add annotations.

  28. So does anyone know of a world map that can be downloaded and manipulated on
  29. the screen?
