- 7.1 is most certainly not a set of bug fixes to 7.0, Adam. It is the
- enabling technology for the system extensions that are forthcoming. It
- makes it easier for the user to install those technologies by being able to
- drop in the files that have those features without having to reinstall the
- entire OS. It is both easier and harder for Apple this way. Distribution
- is easier; development is easier in that an entire system doesn't have to
- be held up because of one or two components of that system. It is harder
- because there are more variables with a modular system than there is with
- an integrated one. Think of the differences between Copernicus and MacWoof
- for an analogy.
